One relatively tumor-specific form of altered sialylation is the incorporation of the non-human sialic acid Neu5Gc (N-glycolylneuraminic acid, also known as NGNA). Sialix has developed a highly sensitive, monospecific polyclonal anti-Neu5Gc antibody for the detection of Neu5Gc.

Gc-Free Basic Kit

Our Basic Kit contains essential components to be used, in concert with other user-supplied materials, to detect the presence of the non-human sialic acid Neu5Gc attached to glycoproteins or cells of recombinant or natural origin. This anti- Neu5Gc antibody provides sensitive and specific identification of Neu5Gc in various samples. The Basic Pack may be used for immuno-staining cells prior to analysis by Flow Cytometry or Western Blot.  Consult protocol before purchasing.
